ST LEONARDS TERRACE

Gabrielle Shay x Tuk Tuk flower studio.

A collaboration by designers Gabrielle Shay and Silka Rittson-Thomas for the textile design studio of Decors Barbares. Inspiration for this garden was taken from the fabrics, which are steeped in floral design and are a sophisticated interplay between East and west, creating this rich and informal garden.

CHESHIRE STREET

Gabrielle Shay x Sigmar

A garden designed by Gabrielle Shay to compliment the interiors designed for this East London home by Sigmar London. To give this garden a satisfying feel, we used a mixture of materials; including sustainably sourced hardwood and UV protecting fabric in the creation of this bespoke shade sail. We designed planting slots with under-paving irrigation, creating softness. We kept the torn flyers on the entrance door of this garden to heighten the sense of location in this creative London neighbourhood.

RHS GOLD MEDAL HAMPTON COURT FLOWER SHOW 2015

Gabrielle Shay x African Vision Malawi

Gabrielle Shay designed this show garden for African Vision Malawi. The gardenis conceived as a paradox between monocropping and permaculture.

African Vision Malawi are working to help promote the system of permaculture to combat famine and provide opportunities for diversity to thrive and for the soil to be enriched.

The installation was donated to City Scapes for their plant collectors project at Borde Hill gardens.
